African states should take on the vice of plundering African natural resources.

08 October 2025
Internal affairs minister Maj. Gen Kahinda Otafiire is concerned about the continued indirect plunder of African Natural resources by western powers stressing the need for mineral rich Africa to confront this challenge in unison
Minister Otafiire notes that former colonial masters continue to control the exploitation of African natural resources in many countries Uganda inclusive, pushing these countries to export the minerals as cheap raw materials and importing the products expensively
This he says can be qualified further by the ongoing construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline as Uganda prepares to send its oil overseas
Minister Otafiire has been officiating at the annual 8th Citizen`s Convention of Extractives organized by Global Rights Alert and other partners.
