Uganda Revenue Authority moves to enforce the ban on Motor vehicles older than 15 years, in line with the Traffic and Road safety act 2018.

In a statement, commissioner Customs at Uganda Revenue Authority Dickson Kateshumbwa says as of September 28 this year, it was estimated that a total of 5500 motor vehicles are still in bonded warehouses and in transit.

He adds that Duty paid motor vehicles that are still within the warehousing period will be relocated to a designated place pending registration, and customs will auction any motor vehicle whose warehousing period will have expired.
