Two of Kawesi murder suspects charged afresh

Two out of 4 murder suspects of assistant inspector of police Andrew Felix Kaweesi who were re-arrested recently after being granted bail by Nakawa Magistrate court are charged afresh with Terrorism.

Ahmed Senfuka  and Umar Maganda have been produced before Nakawa court Grade one Magistrate Noah Sajjabi, and faced charges of belonging to a terrorist organization, the Allied Democratic Force.

Senfuka and Maganda were arrested by security operatives on 7th November 2017 a few minutes after the Nakawa court had released them on bail,

The Director of Public Prosecutions says the suspects committed the offence between 2006  and 2007 in various places within Uganda and the DR Congo.

They were not allowed to plead to the offence that is capital in nature and only tried by the High court

They were then remanded  to Luzira prison until the 7th December 2017.

Meanwhile relatives of the remaining missing two suspects Ibrahim Khisa and Abdul -Majidu Ojegere have confirmed that they were released and are out on bail.
