South Korean companies to to sub contract to Ugandan firms

The government of Uganda and South Korea agree that construction works in Uganda contracted to South Korean companies be sub contracted to home firms to help transfer technical skills and provide employment to locals.

This is contained in a memorandum of understanding signed by both countries as part of efforts to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking during the signing of the MOU at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, Francis Karuhanga of the Uganda National Association of building and civil engineering contractors said the agreement will help build capacity for local firms

This as South Korea’s president Park Gun Hye visits Uganda
