Report implicates state operatives in violation of rights

A new report has pinned state agencies including the police, the army, Resident District commissioners and intelligence agencies as the lead violators of the rights of human rights defenders.

The report shows that a number of Ugandans and organizations who have come out to fight for rights of the marginalized have been targeted by agents of the institutions without redress

The lead researcher also lecturer at Makerere University Gerald Tushabe says that Government must address such challenges
