School director arrested over UCE fees

Police in Kakumiro have arrested a school director for allegedly receiving money by false pretense from senior for students to register for UCE examinations.

Adolf Ngabirano the Director Adolf Senior Secondary School allegedly received two hundred and five thousand (205,000) shillings  from 24 students who were to sit for senior 4 exams only for eight to find their names missing on the register.

The Albertine Regional Police spokesperson Julius Hakiza says out of the 24 students, only 16 were registered to sit for the exams.
