Parliament to consider petition by Tooro Youth

The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga assures Youths and Subjects of the King of Tooro that parliament will consider their petition demanding for the return of Kingdom property and compensation from government.

The group that trekked over 290 km demands over 95 properties including land, houses and tea estates

They also want royalties from all revenue generating ventures in the Kingdom remitted

Patrick Kasagama read out the petition at a ceremony witnessed by Princes Elizabeth Bagaya

In response, Speaker Kadaga indicated that a motion would be tabled in parliament and a debate carried out so that a resolution is passed and forwarded to the president
