Mps continue to demand that independent and experts in aviation be part of the probe team into the crush of 3 UPDF choppers stressing they cannot trust the Gen Salim Saleh led army board
The sentiments which have been public from the time the board was announced by the president were re-echoed Monday after state minister of Defence Gen Jeje Odong updated parliament about the investigations
In his brief he indicated that today the Chief of defence forces Aronda Nyakairima has held a meeting with the probe team to finalize the plan for the investigation stressing that the findings would be made public
His statement generated debate with Mps stressing that this probe team should be reconstituted and experts from the UN and the aviation industry be included to ensure accuracy and independency
Toroma county Mp Rtd Major Cyrus Amodoi told parliament that Uganda has lost choppers in the DRC with no investigations while Theodore Sekikubo insisted on an independent probe while UPDF representative Gen Elly Tumwine called for calm
But Minister Jeje Odong allayed all fears
