Nabagereka in Safe motherhood campaign

The Nabagereka of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda emphasizes the need for expectant mothers to go for antenatal and post-natal services to ensure their babies are healthy.

The Nabagereka also encourages mothers to test for HIV early to deter mother to child transmission, further urging men to escort their partners to test, and discuss effective family planning methods to adopt with their spouses and health practitioners. She also urges parents to stop championing the early marriage of their children.

This during a sensitization meeting on safe motherhood and proper upbringing of children in Kanoni, Gomba County, spearheaded by the Nabagereka Foundation
