Mugisha Muntu vows not to quit FDC

 Outgoing FDC party president Mugisha Muntu says he will not quit the party.

This follows his loss of the party presidency to Patrick Amuriat Oboi in a much contested election over the weekend.

As a result speculation brewed over his next course of action with some party members hinting on Muntu’s exit from the party.

Muntu however maintains that he remains a committed party member and will continue to mobilize the support against planned constitutional amendments special mention to that seeking to lift the presidential. Age limit.

Muntu who was addressing journalists at Hotel Africana said he is willing and ready to work with the new party president.

Meanwhile the leader of opposition in parliament Winnie Kizza—a key supporter of Muntu says she is ready to leave office with her shadow cabinet or to continue serving amidst fears of a reshuffle.
