Ministry investigates expulsion of over 70 students in Mbale

The ministry of education starts investigations into the expulsion and suspension of over 70 students at Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale.

The students were expelled as they broke off for their Easter holiday and handed letters stopping them from returning to the school.

The students were allegedly dismissed for using notorious nicknames at school. The names include Criminal, Twine Temper, Fake Dollar, Bigfoot, and Chemical among others

Assistant Communications and Information at the ministry of education Patrick Muyinda says the commissioner in charge of Secondary Education has been tasked with  investigating the matter.

Muyinda says that upon the commissioner’s findings, they will determine the verdict of the matter and give the way forward.
