Minister finance presents budget estimate of 28.9 trillion shillings

The minister state for planning David Bahati on behalf of the president has this afternoon presented budget estimates of 28 .9 trillion shillings for the financial year 2017/2018.

Bahati told parliament presided over by deputy speaker Jacob Oulanya that 9.9 trillion has been budgeted as statutory expenditure while the remaining 19 billion will be appropriated by parliament with emphasis on increasing agricultural production, enhancing private sector development and intensifying energy and transport infrastructure development.

Bahati also says that they plan on improving service delivery through human capital development and intensifying the fight against corruption.
