LOP wants Kaihura questioned over raid on House

The leader of opposition in Parliament Winnie Kiiza wants the Inspector General of police Kale Kayihura to appear before the legal committee and account for the 27th September raid on Parliament.

Kiiza also supports Speaker Rebecca Kadaga’s letter to the president saying that there should be an explanation on who caused harm to MPs that day.

She says the IGP is responsible for the damages that were caused including breaking of equipment among other things.

She was appearing before the legal and parliamentary affairs committee which is conducting hearings on the proposed constitutional amendments.
