Kyambadde faults Chinese & Ugandan traders for increased sub standard pdts

Trade minister Amelia Kyambadde faults Chinese authorities and Ugandan traders for failing to stop the increased dumping of substandard products from china on the Ugandan market.

Kyambadde says the Ugandan market has been flooded with substandard products despite a number of interventions put in place.

Speaking  during the 64th state of the nation session at Protea Hotel running under the theme , China – Africa relations , mutual relief for Africa and China, Kyambadde also faulted Ugandans trading in cheap and substandard products that are of adverse effect to the customers and the economy.

Speaking at the same event, Chinese ambassador to Uganda  Jao Yali said his government is committed to help Uganda develop by supporting and financing key infrastructural projects in the country.

Yali said his hopeful the ongoing infrustractural projects like, standard gauge railway, Entebbe express highway and upgrade of the Entebbe international airport among others will see more investors flock the country.

He says this way investors will be content that there will be smooth flow of trade.
