KCCA sets up more typhoid treatment centres

Kampala capital City Authority together with the Ministry of Health   to open up more Typhoid treatment centers in the different divisions to handle the increasing cases.

Director Public Health and Environment KCCA Dr Serukka David says that  to date over  2000  patients have appeared  to Kisenyi Health Centre 1V the only Typhoid treatment centre and  46% of this number  have been  screened and treated of Typhoid.

Serukka says that they are looking at opening up treatment centers at Kiswa , Kisugu and Komamboga health centers to decongest Kisenyi Health centre 1V.

This  at Kisenyi Health centre during an emergency visit by the Executive Director KCCA Jenifer Musisi Semakula and her staff.

Executive Director KCCA Jenifer Musisi Semakula says that Typhoid can be prevented if people stop taking contaminated water and Foods on top of ensuring proper hygiene.
