Kaweesi murder suspect re-arrested shortly after being freed by court

One of the suspects in the Murder of AIGP Felix Kaweesi who had been granted bail by earlier today has been rearrested.

Security agents in plain clothes rounded up Shaban Senfuka, one of the seven suspects granted bail earlier and rearrested him near the Nakawa junction, as he returned home.

Grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi had in the morning released 7 of  14 people accused of killing former police spokesperson AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, his driver Godfrey Wambewa and bodyguard Kenneth Erau

These were released on a Shs. 50 Million Non-cash bail each.

Magistrate Sajjabi released the seven suspects on grounds that they were held on remand for over six months and that the law dictates that after this period, one should be released on bail.
