Kagina to name & shame corrupt individuals in UNRA

The newly appointed Uganda National Roads Authority Executive Director Allen Kagina speaks out on her new assignment saying she will draw a shame list of all UNRA officials found guilty of unnecessary delay of projects.

Speaking during her maiden press briefing as UNRA boss, Kagina, who officially started work yesterday, said some of the directors deliberately delay the procurement process of projects in order to attract bribes from contractors.

She also intends to issue performance contracts for staff in addition to putting up measures to stem corruption especially at weigh bridges saying this is one of the reasons Ugandans roads have a low life span.
