Govt to replace obstetric equipment

Government, with the help of Chinese firm -Sino Africa plan to replace an assortment of emergency obstetric equipment that had been delivered to 300 health centers last year.

This after the equipment mostly used during delivery was rejected by the national Committee on Equipment for failing to meet the minimum standards set by government.

Health ministry however notes that the equipment has not yet been used on any patient.

Speaking during a media briefing at the ministry headquarters in Kampala ,the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Reproductive health in the ministry of health Collins Tusingwire says the  replacement will take a span of three weeks.
