Government files a notice of appeal against Gen. David Sejusa’s retirement victory, in the Court of Appeal.

Through AG, Govt says its dissatisfied with the entire judgment of High court Judge Margret Oguli Oumo delivered last Saturday when High court ordered the UPDF to pay Gen. David Sejusa 750 million shillings as damages for the stress and harassment he has been subjected to.

Justice Oguli also ruled that sejusa  is entitled to constructive discharge from the army since this is his second attempt for him to apply for retirement the first being in 1996.

The Judge noted that the actions of the UPDF, was a clear manifestation of discrimination of Sejusa contrary to what the constitution provides.

She also ordered the Army to pay his salary arrears, allowances and retirement benefits, all of which shall attract an interest of 20percent from today till fully paid.

The Judge further ordered UPDF to pay costs to Gen.David Sejusa that he had incurred in persuing this case.
