DPP to use tech in handling criminal cases

The office of the directorate of public prosecutions launches a new prosecution case management information system to ease the processing and management of all criminal cases in the country.

The new technology system is designed to assist in streamlining and automating prosecution case management, paper and electronic document management, electronic services, and all related business processes.

During the launch of the system and the unveiling of the new DPP logo at Imperial Royale hotel, the director of public prosecution Mike Chibita expressed optimism that the system will improve case output through easing recording and gathering of information pertaining to cases.

For his part, the founder and the chief executive officer of integrated software specialists, the developers of the system Michael D. Locascio noted that the system has advanced features that are designed to serve the needs of all DPP attorneys, executives and other authorized users in all DPP locations and regions throughout the country.
