Anite scoffs at critics who think her appointment was a reward

The incoming state Minister of Youths and Children Affairs Evelyn Anite scoffs at all those suggesting that her appointment is merely a reward for her role in championing the sole candidature of the NRM party leader and President.

Anite was instrumental in the purported sole candidature project, after she presented a motion whose debate resulted into all NRM caucus Mps signing a memorandum declaring that President Museveni should be the sole NRM presidential candidate.

Ever since the cabinet reshuffle was announced there has been a lot of discussion about her appointment with many suggesting that she will do little for the youths because she was only appointed for her political role and not on merit.

But Anite says she is ready to shame such people adding that she going to serve as a national leader without any bias.

This at a press briefing she held with 3 other NRM youth Mps at parliament.

The Other youths Mps Monica Amoding, Peter Ogwang and Patrick Nakabaale asked Anite not to politicize this office but focus on dealing with the challenges the youths are facing.
