Actors petition UN over export of Ugandan health workers

Civil Society actors advocating for health promotion petition the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to health protesting the bilateral arrangement between Uganda and Trinidad and Tobago to export over 260 health workers to work in the latter.

Noor Nakibuuka Musisi is an activist at Centre for health, human rights and developmen says the arrangement will further weaken the fragile health system of the country.

They add that it significantly undermines the public health system as Uganda suffers from an acute shortage of health workers
