Activists want govt to procure resuacitation devises

Advocates for better health demand that government procures, repair and avails resuscitation devices in hospitals this financial year to save lives of new born babies.

The co-ordinator White Ribbon Alliance Robinah Biteyi says some newly born babies fail to breathe at birth and can only be rescued by resuscitation devices.

Biteyi notes that government should allocate a budget line for the procurement, repair and replacement of newborn resuscitation equipment and also provide training health workers on how to use the equipment.
