24 die in Easter break

A report by the Police Force indicates that a total of twenty four people died during the Easter break.
Deputy police spokesperson Polly Namaye says thirteen of the deaths were as a result of homicide, ten people died as a result of road accidents whereas one person was killed by armed robbers.
Namaye adds that seventeen people were injured in road accidents.
She attributes the increased cases of road accidents to drink driving and vehicles in dangerous mechanical condition.
