10 remanded for being public nuisance

Ten political activists have been charged and remanded 2 Luzira prison   for allegedly   being a public Nuisance.

The group was arrested yesterday at Nsambya Sharing hall, after Police suspected they had no Permission to stage a Public rally at the venue.

The rally was to be addressed by former FDC Leader Kiza Besigye and Lord Mayor Erias  Lukwago,  to discuss Forth coming electoral Reforms . The two leaders were also arrested and released on bond.

The ten mostly youths appeared   before City hall Grade One magistrate Moses Nabende and Denied the charges.

They have been remanded to Luzira until next Tuesday when they are expected to apply for bail.
